We work with numerous independant factory partners throughout the US and Canada. The factory used varies by your build location, budget, and schedule. If you would like to contact us about your project, then we can provide you with more information about the proximity of our factory partners.
A Hive home can generally be delivered anywhere a semi truck and crane can drive. We currently can deliver to the contiguous US and Canada. Factory partners dictate our shipping regions, so some areas may be periodically out of range.
Cost of delivery varies based upon your proximity to the factory. Costs that may come into effect are tollways, pilot cars, or other road fees.
Shipping limitations are dictated by state/province, region, and factory. Generally, module width is limited to 16' wide in the US and expands up to 20' wide in central Canada. In mountainous areas, we may be limited to 15'.
Other aspects that affect modules size and access may include road width, low power lines, low train bridges, or trees.
Installation and crane costs are contingent upon the quantity and size of modules and the distance traveled. Crane costs will vary, but are generally billed hourly on a round-trip basis from the crane company to your site.
The crane and set crew are hired by the site contractor or client, but Hive Modular can assist if necessary. In some cases, the factory will provide their own delivery and set crew. In these cases, the cost for this work may be included in the price of the modules.
