Where in North America can you deliver the Hive Modular home?
We can currently reach the contiguous 48 states of the US, and our intention is to offer delivery to Canada.
 
What is the cost to deliver a Hive Modular home?
We deliver your house at factory pricing, so it will cost approximately $5.00 for each mile of travel of each truck from the factory that will be serving your area. A truck length is 64', so combinations of modules that add up to less than 60' will save on shipping expenses (a detail and efficiency that has been factored into the standard designs). Cost of delivery will be included in the preliminary pricing estimate. This per mile price does not include special considerations that may be required by your locality for pilot cars, escorts, etc.
 
Are there access restrictions for the delivery of my home?
Hive Modular homes sit on the same type of foundation that a site built house does. This typically means the site must be accessible to and able to bear the weight of a concrete truck and a boom crane. A crane can lift modules over other modest houses or trees, but needs sufficient clearance to rotate, maneuver and place the modules. Loaded trucks and cranes need about a 16' wide, clear and relatively straight path of access to the site. The ground or street must have the bearing capacity to support the stabilization arms of the crane.
 
What will a crane and setting cost? How do I find one?
Crane costs will vary, but are generally billed hourly on a round-trip basis from the crane company to your site. You should budget on roughly $500-$1200 for about 4 hours of crane time including the trip charge. Search under "crane service" for "boom trucks" to find services. You will need a licensed contractor and at least two people for 1-2 hours each to assist in setting the modules. Hive Modular will offer assistance to the degree possible in finding a crane service in your area as part of our standard service.
