PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The neighbors must have been stunned by the changes that occurred on their street in such a short timeline - the existing home was sold, pulled off of its foundation, and moved by truck overnight to it's new owner's foundation. Only a few weeks later, after a new foundation was poured, a new home arrived and was set within a few hours. What was once the location of a 1-story traditional ranch-style home is now the site of a 2-story modern residence.
Just like the original transformation of the homes on the site, the X-Line 010 was designed with element that could change as their family did. For example, the area located at top of the 2nd floor stairs was designed to be used as a playroom space for the children. As they grow older and the space becomes unused, this area was built to be easily removed to allow for a dramatic 2-story space above the dining room.
